Combo King - Update 1.1
Finally got down and decided to fix this game. It was originally just a game for a jam, but I decided that I wanted it to at least play a bit better.
Additions
- Take to the air with the new jump (SPACE) button, allowing you to execute airborne combos. These combos grant additional combo score as opposed to their grounded counterpart, but are a lot riskier to pull off.
Changes
- Enemies are less aggressive. It was not fun to be hit the moment you entered range, so now they have a short windup before attacking, and a cooldown between attacks. Their attack strength remains unchanged, but due to new movement the attacks may feel stronger.
Fixes
- Movement is a lot smoother, no more jittery movement when moving against hits.
- Music volume reduced by 80%. Ears be saved upon startup.
- Tightened up the floor hitbox. Now, standing too close to the edge will successfully make you fall off.
- Fixed a bug that caused the player to start each game in their falling pose.
Known Issues
- Enemies may break the combo when moving too close to the ground, despite not actually coming in contact with it.
